1) Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the website monrocher.mu (the “Website”), dedicated to the Mon Rocher area (padel club, restaurant, stables, animal sanctuary) within Beau Plan.
We process personal data in accordance with the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017 (DPA) and, where applicable, the EU GDPR (2016/679).
By accessing the Website, you accept this Policy and consent to the processing described herein.
Roles and responsibilities
- Website operations (forms, cookies, Website security): Beau Plan Development Ltd.
- Padel: operated by Beau Plan Sports & Leisure Ltd (“BPSL”), the controller for padel-specific processing (e.g., handling padel information requests).
- Restaurant, Stables, Animal Sanctuary: the “Relevant Operator” is the controller for processing specific to its activity.
- CCTV on the relevant premises: Beau Plan Development Ltd is the controller.
2) Data we collect
- Website forms: contact, information requests, “Let’s keep in touch” sign-ups, job applications.
- Activities (via the Website):
- Padel (BPSL): information requests (court bookings are handled off-site via a separate application).
- Restaurant / Stables / Sanctuary: information requests addressed to the Relevant Operator.
- No financial transactions on the Website: no online payments, no online donations.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type/version, pages viewed, visit duration, cookies/pixels and similar technologies (see §9).
- On-premise (physical): CCTV for safety/security purposes.
3) Purposes and legal bases
Contract / pre-contractual steps: respond to your requests, arrange contact/visits, manage applications.
Legitimate interests:
- security (including CCTV) and fraud prevention,
- improving our services and the Website, audience analytics,
- information about our activities and those of Beau Plan / the developer Novaterra (non-intrusive institutional and B2B communications, project information) — with the ability to object at any time.
Consent:
- marketing communications (newsletters, news and offers) relating to Mon Rocher, Beau Plan, and/or its developer Novaterra,
- non-essential cookies.
- Legal obligation: accounting, tax, compliance, incident management.
- Vital interests: handling emergencies related to the safety of people/property/animals.
4) How we use your data
- Respond to your requests and follow up with you.
- Send service communications (acknowledgments, practical information).
- With your consent (“Let’s keep in touch”), send news and/or offers about Mon Rocher, Beau Plan (Smart City) and/or its developer Novaterra (projects, events, services), with the option to unsubscribe at any time.
- Measure and improve user experience on the Website (aggregated/anonymised analytics where possible).
- Ensure safety/security at physical sites (CCTV).
5) Sharing & transfers
Internal sharing may occur within Terra/Novaterra group companies strictly for the purposes above.
We use processors (hosting, emailing, analytics) under contractual obligations compliant with DPA/GDPR.
Where data is transferred outside Mauritius/EEA, we implement appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).
6) No online payments & third-party applications
The Website does not perform financial transactions and does not store payment card data.
The padel club uses a separate application for court bookings and financial management: when you access it, you are subject to that third-party application’s privacy policy.
7) Retention periods
- Form enquiries / service-related exchanges: up to 7 years where linked to administrative/accounting obligations; otherwise, for the time needed to handle the request + limited archiving.
- Job applications: 12 months (unless hired or you consent to longer retention).
- Marketing: until unsubscribe or consent withdrawal.
- CCTV: 30 days, unless required longer for incident/investigation.
You may request earlier deletion (see §11) subject to legal obligations.
8) Information security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures. Transmission over the internet/email carries risk; it is at your own risk. Once received, your data is protected through access controls and procedures to prevent unauthorised access.
9) Cookies & similar technologies
The Website uses cookies/pixels for: (i) operation and security, (ii) audience measurement, (iii) marketing where you consent.
You can configure your browser to refuse some/all cookies; certain features may then be limited. If no separate Cookie Policy exists, this section governs.
10) Confidentiality
Staff of Beau Plan Development Ltd, BPSL and, where applicable, the Relevant Operator, who access personal data are bound by confidentiality under the DPA and our internal policies.
11) Your rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection (including to direct marketing), and data portability where provided by law. You may withdraw consent at any time (without retroactive effect).
We may request proof of identity before processing your request.

12) Children
We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18 without parent/guardian authorisation. If you believe a child has provided data without authorisation, contact the DPO for deletion.
13) Website scope & third-party links
This Policy applies to data collected via monrocher.mu and, where applicable, the CCTV processing mentioned.
The Website may contain links to third-party sites/applications (e.g., the padel booking app): their content and privacy policy apply when you use them; we are not responsible for them.
14) Governing law & changes
This Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Mauritius, including the DPA 2017 and any applicable regulations.
We may update this Policy; changes take effect upon publication on the Website. Please review it periodically.
